First-Ever 2020 Toyota Corolla Hybrid

Toyota Hybrid

Thanks to the extensive popularity of both the Toyota Prius and Camry Hybrid, the automaker is continuing to do their part to both aid customers in less money out of pocket and less trips to the pump all while doing their part to aid the environment with the introduction of the 2020 Toyota Corolla Hybrid.

The First-Ever Corolla Hybrid

A compelling alternative to the 12th generation Toyota Corolla, the first-ever Corolla Hybrid variant forgoes the former model’s 1.8-liter or available 2.0-liter gasoline engine that are both paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Instead, Toyota’s newest fuel-saving sedan is powered by an inline-four electric motor, which is partnered with a Hybrid Synergy Drive two-motor planetary e-CVT transmission. Along with providing up to 121 HP, this electric engine is also programmed for efficiency of up to 53 city/52 highway/52 combined MPG*, thanks to things like simulated gear changes.

This new Corolla Hybrid model also holds as much energy as the lithium-ion battery pack in the front-drive Prius but is 20 percent larger, which may bring about some concern for owners as far as overall passenger and storage space.

Hybrid Power Positioning

Along with saving fuel and money at the pump, the next best thing about owning the first-ever compact sedan of its kind is having a battery-operated vehicle with a battery that fits under the rear seat, leaving the gasser Corolla's trunk volume intact. This Nickel-Metal Hydride’s sweet spot positioning also provides improved balance, weight distribution and overall handling.

Class Above Refinement

With more space and fuel saving power, each new Toyota Corolla hybrid near Frederick, CO Toyota also offers a refined interior with premium seating, controls and seats that were positioned in a way that increases visibility for a more exciting driving experience and available soft-touch materials on the dash and doors that surround you and your passengers with premium comfort and polish that is not often expected in a compact sedan.

Being a newer Toyota model, the 2020 Toyota Corolla Hybrid model also features some of the latest technology features like an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa compatibility.

Advanced Safety Technology

Along with all the added details, each of these Toyota Corolla Hybrid models also comes standard with advanced safety technology like the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, which is designed to detect a vehicle, pedestrian, or even a bicyclist. That is certainly not something that you can say about all the latest autonomous vehicle.

Tie this all up with Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) that uses vehicle-to-vehicle distance control to adjust your speed and help you maintain a preset distance from vehicles ahead of you as well as Lane Tracing Assist and Corolla’s Road Sign Assist (RSA) and you have a vehicle that brings the most awareness to your drive possible.
